actually this are several questions that car owner frequently asked,
1. could it be possible to get the local radio stations if SIRUs?
2. What can I do if I sell my car and want to transfer the service to my new vehicle?
3. Can I get a new vehicle with SIRIUS already built in?
still searching for the answer for this. i have been onto the auto repair shops of mazda and waiting for their response.

Hi,

First, let me whish you all a great 2012.

Second, I got V40-Tom message about a new version and decided to try it.

Tried several times and it stopped reading my mp3 pen I was listening before with Version 2 (I have a Hu-803).

It actually made a funny noise as if I was using a usb disk and was facing low power. Still it managed to change from usb to ipod and aux (didn't test it though).

Decided to go back to version 2 and all went back to normal, playing my mp3 pen.

I'm guesssing it is a firmware problem, but would like to know if others have try it and what were your results.

All the best,

Carlos.

Hi,

first a happy new year from Germany!

I found the version 3 on the website without the note for the HU-650/850 - so i testet it on my HU-650 - it does not work!
Both versions, normal and text, are from Dec-15, 11. The normal version works fine. With the test version, the HU-Unit does not discover any device on the bus. No cd-changer, no md-changer. I conected the pins 6 and 10 on the connector plug on the PCB. My HU-650 is one of the later Modells from 2007 with the AUX-Input.
I hope these infos will help for further developing.

Greetings from Germany

Thomas

PS: i'm sorry about my english - but have fun

Historically, the lack of friendly interfaces has been an obstacle to making Linux a commercially viable product for end users, but with available GUIs, that's yesterday's news. What's the next step in creating an easy-to-use Linux-based product for consumers? Imagine adding a user-oriented LCD touchscreen. A touchscreen facade can make back-end Linux applications very usable in such devices as custom digital media centers (either in the home or in automobiles), DVRs and PVRs, and even control interfaces for household robots. The potential uses are limited only by the imagination. In this article, get an overview for installing an LCD taken from a Sony PSOne, creating a modeline, and installing a touchscreen -- all for Linux.
