Hi,
I tested the iso file an it turns out that is quite fast and stable but
i've a problem with my touchscreen (lilliput):
TS will accept my input (touch) but not at the right position.
First i thought it was xy position problem but it isn't.
As i'm not familiar with DirectFB i'm not sure whether eGalax driver
is loading at all.
This is the output after running pycar:
| Code: |
---------------------- DirectFB v0.9.21 ---------------------

(*) Direct/Thread: Running 'PS/2 Input' (INPUT, 101)...

(*) DirectFB/Input: IMPS/2 Mouse 1.0 (Convergence GmbH)

Do you have any idea as to what else i could try or some tools to help me test further.
tnx

Try out Settings->General->Calibrate Input menu choice.
It has a way to calibrate a screen. You have to restart PyCar after that( not the distro but program ). |

|
|
hi again
what i am trying to say is that the coordinates for the upper right-hand corner and the lower left-hand corners are switched. in practice, this means that i have to touch the upper right-hand corner to press the button which is otherwise positioned in the lower left-hand corner, and vice-versa.
so if the Play button was positioned in the lower left of the screen, i would have to click (touch) the diagonally opposite corner to activate it.
tnx

Try to see if DMA is turned on for a device from which you're playing movies. MPEG2 may not play correctly atm as I it needs to be done in HW indeed.
Which configuration are you seeing the problem on ? |

Hi!
I've tried pycar 1.3 (not flipped) iso with my epia M9000 and my newision/lilliput 7" LCD /w TS, but the monitor is out of sync. Dunno why!
Maybe the "video" kernel parameter works only with your mobo?
Should I use "vga=0x314" instead?
TIA

I saw that updating to a latest bios and switching over to CRT output only may cure the problem.
PyCar uses regular 800x600x75 which works fine on most monitors.
I tested mine with M10000, M6000 with CRT, LCD and TV. Everything works fine. Try it out with TV or regular CRT. |
